Marianne Taylor is a writer and editor whose career has been steered from the start by her obsessive interest in the natural world. She has written books on subjects from mountain gorillas and nature photography, to science and wildlife in London. She lives in Kent and, when not at her desk, is likely to be found in the nearest woodland, binoculars around neck and notebook in hand.
Dr Mike Goldsmith holds a PhD in astrophysics from Keele University, and has written 40 books on a range of scientific topics for children and adults. He was also twice winner of the Institute of Physics Science Writing Competition and the Junior Aventis Science Prize.
Steve Martin was born in Northumberland in the far north of England. After graduating in English, he spent many years teaching English to adults – including 15 years teaching literacy in prisons. Steve now lives in the English Midlands, with his wife and two sons and makes his living from a wide range of writing including children's non-fiction, business communication and developing e-learning materials. Steve has authored several non-fiction titles, including The Boys Book series, Survival: How to Survive Anything, Anywhere and I Wish I Knew That: Cool Stuff You Need to Know.
Andrew Pinder lives in Mallorca and works as an illustrator, painter and muralist. He has had numerous one-man exhibitions in Mallorca and has work in various public and private collections. He has illustrated many children's books, in Catalan, Spanish and English. For Buster Books, Andrew has illustrated the Dorkius Maximus books and the 'Laugh-a-lot' joke book series, which has sold over 600,000 copies in the UK, as well as Dinosaur Doodles and other titles in Buster Books' bestselling Doodle series.
