Goldilocks wants to play and wants someone to join her adventure. But Mum, Fairy Godmother, the three bears and a whole family of familiar fairy-tale friends are too busy with their chores to play. Her marvellous plans are met by ‘Not Now, Goldilocks!' but everyone promises to play with her later ... Join little Goldilocks and her big imagination as she discovers that even when loved ones are too busy to play, adventures for one can be just as much fun. And when she really needs them, her family and friends will be there for her to play and help save the day.

Holly Ryan

Holly Ryan grew up in a little Cornish fishing village where she spent most of her childhood exploring rock pools. She now lives by the sea in Devon, and when she’s not entertaining little people in her local pre-school, she spends her days doing what she loves the most ... writing for children. Her debut picture book, Never Mess with a Pirate Princess, was shortlisted for the Portsmouth Children’s Book Prize, and to date she has virtually visited over 100 schools all over the country. She is never without a notepad and loves to write funny rhyming texts that make children laugh out loud.

About the Illustrator:

Navya Raju

Navya Raju is an Illustrator-Storyteller based in Hyderabad, a multicultural city in India, with an academic background in Architecture. After her final-year thesis on ‘Picture book walkway’ she rediscovered her love for storytelling, being a literature nerd, and picture book illustrations. This led her to pursue a career in Children’s books. Navya’s works are influenced by architecture, cinema, literature, and pretty much everything and anything that fascinates her. She aims at creating character-driven illustrations and enjoys adding humour, and hidden details to her illustrations so that people can discover something at a second or third read.
