Junior Designer
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Junior Designer at Buster Books, the children’s non-fiction imprint of Michael O’Mara Books Ltd.
We are a small, lively, highly successful team, producing a variety of trade and co-edition titles. We are looking for a proactive, flexible, positive and enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills to assist the design team.
Skills & experience
- Previous graphic design experience from a Design degree and a portfolio to demonstrate creativity.
- A solid working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Strong visual and graphic design skills for document layout and typography.
- Strong Photoshop skills for image retouching, compositing, visualising and creation purposes.
- The ability to visualise and verbalise ideas to the team, and an eye for detail.
The applicant will need to have the right to live and work in the UK.
Benefits
- 20 days holiday a year, rising by a day a year to 25 days pro rata plus 4 days Christmas company holiday
- One volunteer day per annum
- After 5 years here, you will be rewarded with an extra month’s salary

Salary: £25,000-£27,000, dependent on experience.
