Dr Elke Close is a classics scholar and the founder of Hellenistic History, an engaging educational platform that began on Instagram (@hellenistichistory) and has now expanded into a comprehensive website (www.hellenistichistory.com).
A native of Belgium with a PhD in Classics from the University of Edinburgh, Dr. Close is currently teaching classical languages and culture at a secondary school in Maastricht while developing several projects to enhance historical engagement.
